Faehrhaus Meissen B&B

The art of living

Welcome to a beautiful corner of the world!

Meissen is a very special place. Nestled into the sun-drenched Elbe Valley, the town boasts a unique heritage – one rich in history and steeped in old-world craftsmanship. For 300 years the town has been famous for its beautiful, world-renowned Meissen porcelain.

Here, on the shores of the river Elbe with a stunning view of the mighty Albrecht Castle and Meissen Cathedral, we have found the perfect place for our small, family-run guesthouse. We consider it, in fact, the traditional B&B re-invented.

Built in 1816, the historic building initially served as a ferryman’s house and played an important role in the town’s history. Today, the adjacent guesthouse combines old-world hospitality with colourful and eclectic interior design. It is a place where comfort and cosiness meet design, art and modern living.

We hope to see you when you feel like having a private retreat or a short break, and we look forward to making your stay in Meissen and the Dresden area a memorable one.
